Can you? Yes!
Now the first part of this is understanding that if you have credit challenges, then you will need to be more flexible. Credit challenges do not keep you from getting a vehicle, but you are not going to drive away in a Bentley, but drive away you can!
It is very important to decide what you really need a vehicle for, and focus less on the wants. You need a vehicle to go back and forth to work, or school. You need a vehicle to be reliable. You need it to fit in your budget. You might want the car to be red, fast, and have leather seats and a sunroof, but you don't need, red, speed, leather, or a sunroof.
When you have credit challenges, be open-minded to the vehicle type and focus more on your budget. Do not worry if the car can go 0-60 in .2 seconds, or if it has heated leather seats and a convertible top. Your main objective is to get a reliable vehicle.
Find a vehicle, get your approval, and drive home. In 2-3 years when you are ready to trade, if you have made all of your payments on time, you will have a significant increase in your credit score. Then guess what? You will have more buying power, and more buying power means you can look for the little extras you want in a vehicle. We are always telling you to be patient and good things will come, the same goes for buying a car. In that same 2-3 years you might get a new job, or a raise, and then not only will you have better credit, but you will have more income so getting the extras you want will not seem like a big deal at all.
