This pandemic is of course no laughing matter, but here at Credit Assist Pros we try to find that silver lining in every cloud.
Many of find ourselves stuck at home, or perhaps have just placed far more limits on our outings and social gatherings. Some of us still go to work everyday and others of us may currently be out of work.
If you happen to be lucky enough to be one of the people who is still currently employed (& we hope healthy) now is an opportune time to work on your credit and finances!
We know it can feel a bit boring to just sit at home when you are not at work and it just feels like there is no end in sight. All you really want to do is go to the movies and out to dinner with friends! Is that too much to ask!? Under normal circumstance, of course not. However, right now, that is t the best option for your safety, or the safety of others.
Now, however, is a perfect time to work on debt and credit building. Instead of going out to eat on the weekend or just going to stores to shop during the week you can apply that effort and money to your finances!
How will this help my credit you may ask. Well, debt to income is a huge factor in scores and loan approvals so getting that debt down helps your odds and improves your rates!
Another thing is if you have a credit card with a higher balance or maybe you are just carrying a balance too close to your limit then paying down that balance will lower your credit utilization which is another huge impact factor to tour score.
So, even though it’s not the funnest and most exciting option or time, it is a great to get that score up!
